Meet the Team

Krystopher Scroggins
Krystopher Scroggins has served as the Director of Angelo State Chi Alpha since 2019.
He is married to his wonderful wife, Katie, and they have five children; Finegan, Donald, Henry, Harold, and George.
Krystopher has a passion for seeing the lost reconciled to Christ and seeing the redeemed grow in their relationship with Jesus. When not on campus, he enjoys reading, coffee, and soccer. He is chronically disappointed by the Dallas Cowboys.
Scroggins got his bachelors in History from Sam Houston State with a minor in German. He has been involved with Chi Alpha as a student, volunteer, and staff since 2003 and also spent two years serving as a missionary in the Czech Republic.

James Franklin
James Franklin has been a Chi Alpha staff member since 2014 and a part of Angelo State Chi Alpha since 2019.

He has been married to his wonderful wife Marita for 8 years. They have two children; Claire and Connor. James loves spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Jack of all trades, master of none. James has had many hobbies over the last 30 years, so there’s a good chance he’d love to talk to you about yours!
Walking along side students as they discover who Jesus is continues to be one of the greatest honors of his life. James has a bachelors in Business from Sam Houston State University, which has been referred to by some as the Harvard of The South.

Richard and Lindsay Baham
Richard and Lindsay have been serving with Angelo State Chi Alpha since November of 2019 (which is also the month and year that they got married!) They have a toddler named Alice who you’ll see at campus events and large group services where she’s the life of the party.
Lindsay loves opening up her home as a place of safety and belonging where students can meet with the Holy Spirit and engage with God’s Word over a home cooked meal or a cup of coffee. Lindsay loves reading, baking/cooking, singing, hiking, and playing badminton.
Richard makes friends wherever he goes on campus. He believes strongly in discipling the “whole person” and desires to see students grow to look more like Jesus in every area of their lives. In his free time, Richard enjoys fixing/building things and playing guitar, board games, and baseball.
Lindsay and Richard both have bachelors degrees from Sam Houston State University - hers in Music Therapy and his in Physics. They have been a part of Chi Alpha since they were freshmen in college and are honored to give back to the ministry that shaped their walk with Jesus as adults.

Sidney Counts
Sidney joined the staff team at Angelo State Chi Alpha in August 2022 after graduating with a bachelors in Elementary Education from ASU.
Her journey with Chi Alpha began while she was still a student when she reconnected with her faith and gave her life back to the Lord. Over the next few years, she grew deeply in her relationship with God and started leading a small group in 2020.
During her time in Chi Alpha, she also met her husband, Alec, and together they share a home with their dog, Jess, their cat, Lily, and a little one on the way! Passionate about campus ministry, Sidney believes deeply in Chi Alpha’s mission, especially since nearly 70% of Christian students tend to walk away from their faith during college. Having experienced God in a transformative way through her friends in Chi Alpha, she is committed to helping other students rediscover their faith and walk in relationship with Christ. Her heart is dedicated to reconciling lost lambs back to the Lord and guiding them home during such a pivotal time in their lives.
Outside of ministry, Sidney loves grabbing a good cup of coffee with friends, hiking and camping with her husband, and exploring new foods from different cultures!

Sydney Bishop
Sydney has been serving at Angelo State Chi Alpha since Fall of 2023.
Sydney’s favorite part of serving with Chi Alpha has been getting to open up her home to the students. Her main goal in ministry is to bring God His children back. She believes that by living as a loving, Christ-like friend we are able to show more and more of God’s character to those who don’t know the depth of His love for them.
She began as a student leader in 2022. After getting a bachelors in Economics at Angelo State, Sydney began serving as a full-time mission’s associate with Angelo State Chi Alpha.

Her favorite things to do include hosting, cooking, and baking.

Calista Gibson
Calista has been serving at Angelo State since 2023.
Her passion is to be a friend to the students who have or do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. To lead them to the path the Lord calls them. She loves to take photos with her camera and go to the next destination. She has been to many states in the US and all over Italy. She loves a good deep conversation about anything.

Calista has an associates in General Studies from Howard College and a bachelors in Business Administration focusing on International Business with a minor in Psychology from Angelo State.
She started her Chi Alpha journey when she met her small group leader at Howard College and became a student leader at Angelo State.

Cassie Posadas
Cassie has been serving at Angelo State Chi Alpha since August 2023.
She has been married to her husband Danny since August 2024 and they have a dog named Drover.
Cassie’s desire is for every student to get the opportunity to encounter Christ and find a community where they can become more like Christ together. She is passionate about walking together with students as they encounter Christ together in their everyday lives.
Cassie enjoys time spent outside gardening with her canine friend, and loves creating art in its many forms. She also enjoys cooking and eating good food, and is always ready to try out something new.
Cassie has a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Angelo State University. She first encountered Chi Alpha at Angelo State just before freshman year through her pastor who was determined to see her succeed, and has been part of Chi Alpha ever since.
